Blender and Cycles Render PLATON U3 PCZ Service Platform for E-Science of the Częstochowa University of Technology

Blender has been improved by programmers from all over the world. It is used by students, artists, graphic designers, filmmakers, and scientists. The number of program users grows day by day.

Architectural Visualization: Blender 2.71 Cycles Render PCZ PLATON U3 400 CPU Xeon from str9led on Vimeo.

My work on this project allowed me to present the extensive functionality of Blender – the program I used to create a visualization of the building of the Mechanical Engineering and IT Faculty of the Częstochowa University of Technology. I used the program functions for modelling structures, animation and rendering. For the purposes of rendering, I used the PLATON Service Platform for E-Science, which allowed me to reduce the time required for rendering frames of animation – a process which would take several months to complete on a regular PC.

The aim of my visualization is to show how easy it is to create such structures. I applied certain work-facilitating methods, however, at times, it proved impossible to achieve the intended result, and I was forced to use alternative methods.

Preparing this thesis allowed me to delve into network rendering and many program functions, developed with the aim of facilitating calculations and accelerating work.
The final effect of my work is the attached animated video presenting the building of the Mechanical Engineering and IT Faculty of the Częstochowa University of Technology.
